Chemical Analysis of Natural Stone
After the natural stone has been laid inside and outside, damage may occur due to many things. As the LGA has a test and analysis center with a lot of experience in this field, the possible causes can be looked into and determined chemically and usually possibilities for repair can be found out. The most common damage is discoloring, which is caused by inorganic inclusions, capable of chemical weathering, in the stone (such as pyrite or marcasite), ferrous composites in the construction or mortar, organic inclusions in the construction or mortar, unsuitable joining material or wrong treatment of the stone. Scumming and spalling caused by lots of humidity which in turn brings water-soluble salts from the stone, mortar or cleaning agent, as well as dirt and damage of the stone's surface due to wear and tear are also inspected.
